Since 2002, the department has been engaged with three types of projects: the organisation of series of seminars/lectures within a time span, organization and presentation of radio series programs designing of communication policies for companies within a time span and one-off projects. A detailed description of each project in chronological order follows however there is a summary below. 1. Organisation of series of seminars/lectures: - EU FUNDING PROGRAMMES: HOW TO SUCCEED
(May 2004). This series of seminars, held at Nicosia and Limassol was aiming to inform the executives from the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations about the Funding Programs offered through the EU. The series of seminars was organized in association with Deloittes & Touche and the consulting firm on EU Programs, Aristodemou & Howells Consulting Ltd. - Administrative Capacity Building
(October 2003 March 2004). This series of seminars and meetings have been organised on behalf of the British High Commission in cooperation with the Office of Coordinator for Harmonization and the involving Ministries/Public Institutions. The aim of the series was to help the civil service find the mechanisms to cope with the workload and channels of Brussels.

- Harmonisation with the Acquis: A challenge for Cyprus
(September December 2003). This series of seminars was organised as a consortium with the Cyprus Labour Institute PEO, on behalf of the European Institute of Cyprus, and was funded by the European Commission. The aim of the seminars was to find methods of implementing harmonisation in Cyprus. Executives from the private and public sector of both the Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot communities were targeted.

(October 2002-June 2003). This series of seminars was organized on behalf of the British Council and British High Commission. The aim of this series was to inform specific group on specific harmonization issues.

(March June 2003). This series of seminars was organised on behalf of the Strovolos Municipality at their premises. Aim of the series was to inform the public of their rights as European citizens.

2. Organization and presentation of a series of radio programs: - RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS ON EU HARMONIZATION
(September October 2003). The radio series aimed to inform the public on the chapters that Cyprus negotiated for the accession in the EU. The Coordinator/interviewer at each program was the Chairman of our company Mr. Costas Apostolides. The series was funded by the European Commission and was organized in cooperation with Radio Elios.
- General Introduction for the EU and the Progress with Harmonization and Implementation (2/9/2003). Guest speakers: Nicolas Karydes, EU Embassy in Cyprus and Theodoulous Charalambides, Office of Coordinator for Harmonization.
- Freedom of Movement of Goods, Consumers Rights (9/9/2003). Guest Speakers: Leontios Pericleous, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism and Petros Markou, Chairman of Consumers Association.
- Freedom of Movement of Persons (16/9/2003). Guest Speakers: Makis Polydorou, Ministry of Interior, Doros Polydorou, KISA.
- Cyprus and the EU (23/9/2003). Guest Speaker: Adriaan van der Meer, EU Ambassador in Cyprus.
- Free Movement of Capital (30/9/2003). Guest Speakers: Nicolas Karydas and George Kyriacou, Central Bank of Cyprus.
- Labour and Employment (7/10/2003). Guest Speakers: Yiannoula Theodoulidou, Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, Andreas Matsas, SEK and Michalis Antoniou, Cyprus Employers Federation.

3. Communication strategies/sponsoring: - Consulting and negotiating on behalf of The Scanner Holdings Ltd, for sponsoring Ethinkos Achnas soccer team (2003).
- Planning of communication strategy for 1 year for Markos Nicolaou Ltd (2001).
4. One-Off Projects: - LEONARDO DA VINCI THEMATIC MONITORING CONFERENCE: DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS WITHIN COMPANIES, PARTICULARLY SME
(6 & 7 May 2004). The conference was organized on behalf of the Cyprus Leonardo da Vinci National Agency, namely the Cyprus Productivity Centre. The aim of the conference was to weaknesses of the program and to discover solutions for improvement. 120 people participated from the 25 EU member states. - CO-EXISTENCE OF THE NEW NICOSIA MUNICIPALITY HALL AND THE ANTIQUITIES FOUND
(25 July 2003). This workshops aim was to define a new policy for the new Nicosia Municipality Hall, after the discovery of antiquities. It was organized on behalf of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus, and experts from abroad participated as presenters. - ALTERNATIVE TOURISM: PROMOTION OF CYPRUS FOR SHOPPING TOURISM
(21 May 2003, Hilton Hotel, Nicosia) The seminar was organized on behalf of Global Refund Ltd. It aimed at analyzing the possibility of Cyprus as a Shopping Tourism destination. - EMERGING HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES IN CYPRUS: LEGIONELLA AND LEGIONNAIRESDISEASE
(6 March 2003, Hilton Park Hotel, Nicosia). The seminar aimed at informing technicians and medical scientists about Legionnaire Disease and its bacterium. - EUROPEAN AND CYPRUS LEGISLATION MEASURES FOR RECUPERATING DYSLEXIA
(2 November 2002, Intercollege, Nicosia). The conference was organized on behalf of the Cyprus Dyslexia Association. The conference aim was to establish whether Cyprus legislation for learning difficulties is harmonized with the EU, and whether the measures are effective.
